I tested the map and it was pretty.. small, but I like the look of it :)

If you could somehow make the map looking like this (I added few suggestions if you dont mind)

So now you have a chance to run away from zombies around the map, and one big field  that it's easy to see

are there humans or not, but like small buildings etc.

 

Green Open 1 more side and expand the area, so it's more fair for zombies.

Yellow Add light above the door so someone might know there's a door? :P

And add 'Light Block' or block light tool to make the light stay in your 'secret' place in front of the wall,

or test placing in the holes first.

 

But cool looking map, I wish it would be somehow bigger.

I added the map already on the server, but think about expanding the map :)

When we played the map we saw many players joined on the server and when the map finished the players began to go out gradually, i think they like it, really we need to see new maps :)

By the way @Calig your suggestions are appropriate.

Thank you Calig for adding the map! It means a lot for me to see one of my own creations played by many people. I have actually expanded it (added more lights, 2 more secrets, and a new area, but havent compiled the new version yet. I think your ideas are correct and I will see what I can do about them.

 

*About the block light: Do you mean to add a brush with lightblock tool infront of the holes of the secret place? Hmm, I havent thought about this addition yet. It will make the secret more “obscure” and clever. 

 

And as you correctly said the map IS kinda small, and I'm not so glad about that. I didnt expand it more at beginning because I had no inspiration on what to add, and because there's also this big indoors room that adds size to the map. But now I can also add your suggestions and make it bigger :)

 

BTW. Did you find all the secrets? There's 3 of them on the current version.

 

I'd like to thank Calig and Hichem Lilou for saying their opinions about the map and also everyone else on the forum who supported it and gave it a like. Your guys' feedback is highly appreciated.

 

And one last thing: I'm just curious, where did players hide when the map was played on the server? I want to know which spots they seemed to prefer so I can balance the gameplay better.

IMPORTANT: UPDATE 27/7/2016

The map has undergone several modifications. I added the new area, as Calig suggested, to make it bigger. Some spots have also been changed and new ones have been added. The map now has more secrets and complexity than before. The cubemaps have also been replaced to better reflect the world around them. I'd like to request the admins responsible for zm mapcycle to download the latest version from the map's download page. :P Enjoy!

can you change the new version of the map to somthing like :

zm_nighthunt_v1

so we can keep and play the old and the new version

I think I know all the new secrets already ;)

No. Lets keep the name same because this new version only has additions and not changes. So it's practically an extended version of the first original map.

You can't name the map as the same name if you have changed it from your first version, and people already have you first version of the map.

You have to make it v2 or something, not using the same name. I'm still waiting for the fix ;)

Calig, you can simply fix it yourself. Just download the .bsp and rename it to something like zm_nighthunt_v2,, It is harder to do it myself because I have to reupload the entire file, ook? :)

As you wish, changed and added. Working much much better with the middle yard so it's all now connected ;)
