  3. ehh not really 1. Theres no pro mappers. there's a mapper and a not mapper. And I don't know anyone who could help me anyway. 2. It's most likely that I'm using nonsteam css and hammer, so if I buy the game from steam it will be fine. I guess if I am more careful I can avoid some problems. Hammer editor just likes to be a dick sometimes, even the "proest" of mappers can confirm that xD

Sorry but the map will never come out, because of unexpected hammer error.(just like with zm_survivearena) First I thought it was just a bad detail brush, so went to fix it, but hammer never compiled the new version. every time I tried, it still compiled the old map for me. And by then I had finished the escape boats, finale. Basically the map was ready to be shipped but hammer decided to be a giant dick (as in most of my mapping experience) and f***ed the map up just after all this work I had put into it. No idea why. And as a matter of fact these kind of errors occur in about 50% of all my maps. I don't know if my filesystem is f***ed, or if my hammer is f***ed, but this is just discouraging and stupid. Thought you may wanted to know, so yea, lock the topic or whatever. I'll be thinking very seriously to make maps again on this setup, unless I figure out a way to change hammer's configs. Too bad it was a good map.

  6. If you had to choose the fate of the earth, what would you choose from the following? 1. Atomic war like in Fallout 2. Combine invasion like in HL2 3. Alien war like in Mass Effect 3 I'd go with HL2

  8. In order to make correct bunny blocks, one way (the easiest usually) is to have them lower down when stepped on. OR to have them lose solidity through outputs 0.5 sec after you step on them. That's what I'd do in this case.

Now it has props, doors, elevators, details etc. I still didn't finish the ending rescue heli and nuke, maybe tomorrow Here are 5 screenshots: PS.   11. Hello members of cs-frag! Some days ago I started making a zombie escape map (my first ze map ever). The map takes place in the downtown area of a city going through a main road, an alley, a couple buildings till you reach the port from where you take the boat to the escape island. If you have any suggestions for the story of the map, or any nice additions leave a comment and let me know. The map still is in pre-alpha state with not much to it, no lighting and props, and doors that actually open, but only brushes. Honestly I thought I wasn't capable of this, but anyway I'll give it a try. So here are some pre-alpha screenshots, just to give you guys a general idea of how the map looks. Of course there will be props, details, and pretty much everything else added soon.     No. Lets keep the name same because this new version only has additions and not changes. So it's practically an extended version of the first original map.

    IMPORTANT: UPDATE 27/7/2016 The map has undergone several modifications. I added the new area, as Calig suggested, to make it bigger. Some spots have also been changed and new ones have been added. The map now has more secrets and complexity than before. The cubemaps have also been replaced to better reflect the world around them. I'd like to request the admins responsible for zm mapcycle to download the latest version from the map's download page. Enjoy!

    Thank you Calig for adding the map! It means a lot for me to see one of my own creations played by many people. I have actually expanded it (added more lights, 2 more secrets, and a new area, but havent compiled the new version yet. I think your ideas are correct and I will see what I can do about them. *About the block light: Do you mean to add a brush with lightblock tool infront of the holes of the secret place? Hmm, I havent thought about this addition yet. It will make the secret more “obscure” and clever. And as you correctly said the map IS kinda small, and I'm not so glad about that. I didnt expand it more at beginning because I had no inspiration on what to add, and because there's also this big indoors room that adds size to the map. But now I can also add your suggestions and make it bigger BTW. Did you find all the secrets? There's 3 of them on the current version. I'd like to thank Calig and Hichem Lilou for saying their opinions about the map and also everyone else on the forum who supported it and gave it a like. Your guys' feedback is highly appreciated. And one last thing: I'm just curious, where did players hide when the map was played on the server? I want to know which spots they seemed to prefer so I can balance the gameplay better.
